Kit and Hyunbae Kang were not prepared for twins, but they accepted the new burden into their lives gracefully. That was, they passed the bundles of joy onto nannies while they continued to work. Hyunbae was nearly impossible to reach once he left the threshold of the house, the chaos of the surgery ward of the hospital not allowing him to hear frantic phone calls from nannies when Christian cracked his head on the coffee table or when Kimmy broke a finger slamming it into the car door when they were going out for ice cream.

Christian adapted easily because he was a quiet child, always drawing and watching quietly while Kimmy engaged with the nannies and she quickly became the favorite while he merely existed. He didn't mind much, though; at least the nannies dealt with Kimmy's big mouth instead of him, and he could draw and tinker in peace.

It wasn't easy for Christian to make friends until he entered high school. It was a little simpler but it also got difficult because he had a laundry list of things that kids picked on him about. He didn't usually let it get to him, though-- he knew he was nerdy, short, and quiet. They weren't telling him anything he didn't already know. When he did the tech for a spoof of Twilight for the drama club, he met Jack Lee, and made his first true-blue best friend. After that they were inseparable.

When high school started coming to a close, his parents hinted that he should start looking at colleges, but first Christian took a few courses at the local community college to hone his technological skills. He kept looking through universities as he earned his certificate, and found Gardner University in Massachusetts. The dance program was off the charts, and the art program was outrageous as well, and so he decided that was where he wanted to go.

He was even more pleased when his best friend seemed to be on the same page with him as far as colleges went. He didn't want to leave Jack behind, he was entirely too attached to him. He had no idea what exactly was waiting for him once the tuition was paid by his parents and he and Jack arrived at the school, but hey-- at least it would push him out of his shell. Hopefully.

After they graduated from Gardner, where Christian owned Jack all four years, they decided to move to South Korea with Jack's cousin, Milo, and his boyfriend.
